Reviews and Ratings
The hotel was cozy with a window seat, but the décor felt dated. The service was exceptional and welcoming despite the high room rate. The location offered easy access to various destinations, but some areas could be improved. The dining experience was delightful but lacked variety in options.
I stayed at a hotel that had some lovely aspects like spacious rooms and professional service, but it was in need of updating. The location was excellent, however, the price was considered high compared to similar places.
The hotel rooms are lovely and provide all the facilities you need for a weekend or week away, with ease of access for the less able. The rooms have a king size bed with white cotton sheets and duvet, a rich purple coverlet, and silver and grey cushions and curtains, though slightly dated but clean and spacious. The service is very accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable, with attentive and polite staff; however, the price may not fully reflect the service received. The location is convenient for visiting the Cotswolds and other attractions, just around 6 miles from Banbury in the small village of Aynho. The dining experience offers a wide selection of options, including a full English breakfast, and the facilities are satisfactory. The value for money is reasonable but may not cover all service aspects adequately.
